This site is about the jewelry that I will be making and want to sell. I started metalsmithing in high school, Topeka High School, taught by Jeanne Bass, many years ago and didn’t take it up again until about 4 years ago. I still have so much to learn, but I have an excellent teacher, Deb Jemmott, and have taken classes over the last few years from many talented artists like, Connie Fox and Joanna Gollberg, and I am going to keep on learning and practicing my craft and I hope to get better and better. In the last few years, I have been trying to perfect my style and find my artistic voice and I finally feel confident about what I am producing.
I am on the cusp of a few things in my life right now. I am almost an empty nester. I am also in my middle years and I constantly am thinking about what I should or shouldn’t be doing, learning or giving up. I am also experimenting with cooking without flour since I can’t eat gluten anymore, so sometimes I might post a recipe or blog about Celiac diseases. I am trying to make the most of the years that lie in front of me, so I am going to make sure that I spending my time doing what I love most, which is metalsmithing.
